Courtney & Elisabet - Finally getting hitched!

I remember hearing about this accident in the news and I didn't completely make the connection. Plus with all the wedding hoopla I didn't have time to think much about anything. I was reading Ali's blog like I do everyday and she had a post about this family. I don't know the family but I am familiar with Domestic Bliss and their Blissful Studio, I am such a fan/admirer of what they have done over there for the creative community. I am deeply touched by their outpouring of generosity to help. I'm posting their information here to get the word out, I don't know how much I can help but I am believer that every little bit counts. We're at the Charlotte airport waiting for our plane.  We hope that everyone had a great time, we sure did.  I will post the link for Snapfish tomorrow.

Everyone made it in safe and sound.  The rehearsal at the church was a bit emotional but we all survived.  It's almost 1am EST and I'm uploading stuff to the macbook to clear up memory card space on all the cameras I've been toting around all week.  I've started a Snapfish space for everyone to upload their photos and share.  I'll start posting pictures over the next few days.

The big day is almost here.  Seriously, I can't believe it, time has just flown by so fast.  Brian, Damon, and my sister pulled into town yesterday afternoon.  I'm so glad to have them here, their presence has really calmed my nerves.  The rest of the wedding guests will be arriving today.  I think I've got everything covered, just need to get a couple more items for the gift bags.  It's still raining on and off out here but I think the worst of it has passed.  Cross your fingers and hope for no rain tomorrow afternoon.  I really want some pictures outside.

Courtney and I are excited to have our family and friends here soon.  We hope everyone has a safe flight into NC over the next few days.

Wait, who is this Courtney guy. I'm the other half of Elisabet that makes her look good. I should have done this earlier but I tend to put off things. But here I am with Elisabet in NC getting ready. We are running back and forth between Asheville and Hendersonville to get the final things done. I can't wait to see everybody here soon. I'll be adding more soon. Courtney.

We got into Charlotte yesterday afternoon, found out hotel and went out to find some good eats.  We stumbled upon Mac's Speed Shop.  Really good atmosphere and BBQ.  The Panthers were playing just down the street so the place was packed with football fans.  We had BBQ beef brisket, chicken, ribs, and chopped pork.  It was all really good.  The best part though, the sweet tea was perfection.  Dayle, you're gonna love it!

Lots of fun for all!

I've arranged a hayride tour of one of the local apple orchards for our wedding guests.  The tour will be Saturday, August 30th at 11am at Stepp Orchards.  We'll depart from the B&B around 10:30am or so.  Our guests will be able to learn the history of the orchard and the many varieites of apples they produce.  Each guest will also be able to pick a 1/2 peck (5-6) apples to take home.  This is also a great photo opportunity.  Just a tip...the Ginger Gold apples are the best and they sell out fast.
